The S2 series is FJD Trion's top-tier outdoor scanner, combining VIO and SLAM tracking across more than 8,000 supported coordinate systems so georeferenced output needs no manual coordinate conversion. The Standard tier runs a 16-channel head to 120m range at 320,000 points/second; PRO steps up to 32 channels at 640,000 points/second within the same 120m range; MAX extends range to 300m at the same 32-channel, 640,000 points/second rate. All three share sub-centimetre relative accuracy (around 3cm absolute) and accept the same accessory ecosystem — stabilising vest, drone mount, vehicle mount and robot-dog mount — making the S2 the scanner of choice for large infrastructure, mining, forestry and topographic survey work where range and throughput matter most. It is the model DTA recommends leading with for major UK infrastructure and utility survey tenders.
